캐나다 로저스 케이블 인터넷 종량제
모르고 있었는데 이번 해 2월 부터 시작되었다.
한달 동안 60GB 이상의 트래픽이 발생하면(업다운 모두 포함) 경고장을 받고 그 후로 12달 안에 60GB 이상되는 일이 두번만 더 생기면 그 계정의 인터넷을 끊어버린다고 한다.
이미 캐나다에서는 이런 종량제가 처음이 아니다. 몇년 전 Bell Canada의 Sympatico 라는 DSL 업체가 한번 시도를 했었고 그 외에 몇개의 DSL 업체들이 했었지만 많은 유저들이 다른 곳으로 옮겨가는 바람에 다시 종량제를 그만 두긴 했었다.
그때는 데이터 업다운 용량도 좀 작았었고 또 용량 초과할 경우, 돈을 더 받겠다고 하는 것이었지만 이번 로저스 케이블의 종량제는 좀 얘기가 다르다. 돈 더 안내도 좋으니까 그냥 많이 쓰는 사람은 돈 더 안받겠으니 딴대로 가라는 얘기아닌가.
이미 2월달에 한번 넘었는데... 어떻게 해야 하나...쩝
아래는 ROGERS 웹에 올라와 있는 경고문
If you exceed the limit for the first time you will receive a letter advising you of the excess use. This letter will also contain a request that you reduce your transfer activity in future months. If you exceed the limit for a second time within 12 months will have their accounts temporarily suspended. Accounts suspended for this reason will be immediately re-instated when the customer calls Rogers and agrees to ensure future transfer activity will not exceed the 60GB limit.* If you exceed the limit for a 3rd time in a 12 month period you will have your accounts terminated. Accounts terminated for this reason cannot be reinstated for 12 months.
* Includes customers in Ontario and New Brunswick. Customers in Newfoundland are not affected until further notice.

전에도 컴퓨터하다가 위에 로져스 어쩌구하면서 크게떴는데 오늘도 떠서 뭐지? 했는데
친구가 전에 캐나다도 인터넷 종량제라고 말한걸 제가 씹은 기억이나네요..
지금 또뜬박스에 내용이 60GB가 넘었으니까 이제부터 몇 기가? 메가? 씩 오를때마다 2불씩 내라는거였네요 -_
다운로드, 업로드하면 저게 올라가는건가요?? 그냥 게임이나 인터넷해도 막 종량제 용량 올라가나요???
